Already after the first few lessons there is an understanding of what to do next. But because interface is intuitive, the tools are simple, it doesn't take long to learn. It has many features and options, it takes some time to learn how to use them all. The MyPaint for free does have some learning curve. It is not cluttered with unnecessary buttons and looks minimalistic. Toolbox contains all of the painting tools. Canvas area is where you do your painting. Main window is divided into three sections: canvas area, toolbox, layers panel. The MyPaint download has a fairly basic, but intuitive interface. Application is available for Windows, macOS, Linux. It has been designed to work well with graphics tablets and supports pressure-sensitive input. The MyPaint is an open source painting program that was created with the intention of providing a free software alternative to expensive commercial drawing applications.
